On October 16, Primary 6 students and parents from TWGHs Wong See Sum Primary School visited our school. The students and teachers first took a group photo at the school entrance for a memorable keepsake.
Subsequently, Principal Wong Hoi Cheuk and Vice Principals delivered a welcome address at the Student Activity Center, sharing our school’s educational philosophy and unique campus life, enhancing the visiting students’ understanding of our school. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, making the students feel welcomed and at ease.
The visiting students were then divided into three groups, led by teachers to explore various specialized classrooms:
The aquaponics system, designed based on the natural food chain, is a sustainable system. During the visit, students observed how organic matter from fish waste is broken down and filtered into nutrients for plants, which in turn purify the water, providing a clean environment for aquatic life.
At the Coral Nursery, students gained in-depth knowledge about local coral restoration and the importance of marine conservation. They had the opportunity to nurture local coral seedlings, learning about their characteristics and the threats they face, and how individual actions and lifestyle changes can contribute to coral conservation.
The students also visited an English classroom, immersing themselves in an all-English environment to experience what English lessons are like in secondary school.
The Visual Arts Room, equipped with diverse art materials and creative space, inspires students’ artistic potential. Students could showcase their talents by creating their own artwork, sparking their imagination and creativity. They were amazed by the vibrant artistic atmosphere on campus.
The Science Laboratory, fitted with advanced equipment, promotes scientific inquiry and innovative learning. Our teachers enthusiastically guided the students in conducting experiments, and everyone observed fascinating demonstrations, such as physical phenomena related to circuits. In the science class, students not only learned theoretical knowledge but also engaged in hands-on experiments, enhancing their observation and problem-solving skills.
The Music Room, with its comfortable environment, provides an excellent platform for music enthusiasts to train and perform. Our music teacher showcased the characteristics of pop songs in different languages. The room’s advanced equipment and spacious design allowed students to experience the charm of music in a relaxed and joyful setting.
Finally, alumni from TWGHs Wong See Sum Primary School, now studying at our school, warmly shared their experiences of secondary school life, recounting unforgettable moments and valuable lessons from their time on campus.
This visit not only fostered academic and cultural exchanges between TWGHs Wong See Sum Primary School and our school but also allowed the visiting students to experience our diverse and high-quality learning environment firsthand. The event was filled with warmth and laughter, leaving participants with cherished memories. The students expressed that the visit was highly rewarding, igniting their passion for learning and sparking enthusiasm for participating in more such exchange activities in the future to further strengthen friendships and grow together.
