Our Student Advances to Geneva Inventions Expo in Scientific Feat Again
Excellent news! Our Secondary 4 student, Wu Pei Jun, has emerged successfully from the Hong Kong regional selection of the "51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva" with her innovative invention, the "PestiGuard" smart biosensor. She has been selected as a member of the Hong Kong delegation and will travel to Geneva, Switzerland, in March 2026 to compete in the global finals! This marks the second consecutive year that a student from our school has been chosen as a Hong Kong representative to participate in this prestigious international scientific research event.
The competition, organized by the New Generation Culture Association, required participants to deliver comprehensive project presentations and defend their work. During the finals, Wu professionally and thoroughly introduced her invention, the "PestiGuard"—a portable biosensor designed for rapid pesticide residue detection. Its innovative design and practical value garnered high praise and recognition from the panel of judges.
The "PestiGuard" project integrates synthetic biology and smart hardware technology, simplifying complex laboratory testing processes into an accessible food safety tool for everyone. This achievement fully demonstrates our students' exceptional innovative capabilities in the STEM field. This selection not only recognizes the student's scientific research prowess but also represents a significant accomplishment of our school's efforts in promoting innovation and technology education.
Let us jointly wish Wu Pei Jun continued success on the international stage in Geneva, bringing glory to Hong Kong!
