The 15th Parent-Teacher Association Annual General Meeting and Parent Education Seminar
First and foremost, our school sincerely thanks the members of the previous PTA committee for their selfless dedication. At the same time, we extend a heartfelt welcome to the newly elected members. Congratulations on the smooth and successful completion of this election.
To promote parent education, our school is especially honored to have invited Ms. Chan Man Yee, a highly respected figure in the field of parent-child education, to deliver an inspiring seminar entitled “Happy Parents, Raise Happy Children.”
Ms. Chan Man Yee has personally experienced the pain of losing a child. Through deep reflection as a once “monster parent,” she has transformed herself into a life coach for children. She deeply understands the pressures and inner struggles faced by parents in Hong Kong, and hopes to encourage and grow together with them, actively promoting parent-child education centered on “parental growth.” Her aim is to help parents become confident and empowered, working together to create a healthy and safe environment for children to grow.
“Not a single child can be left behind!” In the post-pandemic era, the mental health of Hong Kong’s children has become a focus of public concern. Children are voicing their needs, reminding us to adjust our approaches to parenting. We hope to nurture a new generation who are psychologically healthy and equipped to face challenges and adversity. Parents are the most important coaches at the starting line of their children’s lives. Therefore, parents must first cultivate a “happy constitution” for themselves—only by influencing life with life can we raise children who are truly happy at heart.
The seminar was rich in content and full of practical insights, including:
- Understanding the key factors in enhancing happiness
- Learning scientifically proven ways to become happier
- Discovering more joy and meaning in the parenting journey
- Strengthening parenting motivation and coping with stress appropriately
On the day of the event, both parents and staff participated enthusiastically; their warm response made it a rare and valuable opportunity for learning and exchange.
