Exploring Nature, Growing Together —Form 1 Parent-Child Fun Day
To enhance parent-child relationships, our school organized the "S1 Parent-Child Fun Day," bringing together S1 parents, students, and teachers for a trip to Kat O, Lai Chi Wo, and Robinson Island to explore the natural ecology and cultural features of the Northeast New Territories.
The activity aimed to provide hands-on experiences for students and parents to learn and interact in a natural setting. By stepping out of the classroom together, parents and children were able to improve communication and cooperation. The program also incorporated parent education elements, encouraging parents to interact with their children through an open, appreciative, and supportive approach.
This parent-child outdoor learning activity not only broadened students' perspectives and connected them with nature but also allowed parents to gain educational insights through companionship, embodying the idea that "presence is the best form of education."
