Commemoration Ceremony and Military Parade for the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression
To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, a large-scale commemorative event will be held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing on September 3, 2025—the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese War of Resistance and the Second World War—with a military parade as the main program. On that day, our school will hold a flag-raising ceremony and deliver a speech under the national flag to help students understand the significance of the event. Students will also watch the parade in the assembly hall and classrooms, listening attentively to President Xi Jinping’s address and his personal review of the troops. In addition, at the covered playground (in case of rain), there will be a “TWGHs Exhibition Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the War of Resistance,” themed “The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the Years of Hong Kong’s Occupation,” and the library will host an exhibition of books and electronic resources related to the War of Resistance. Students have been actively visiting the exhibitions, using the activities to honor the martyrs, remember history, unite and strive forward, cherish peace, and build the future together.
