Wheelock Deputy Chairman and Our Alumnus Mr. Wong Kwong Yiu Visits School for Sharing Session, Passing on Experience to Inspire Junior Fellow Students

Our school has always been committed to fostering connections between our alumni and current teachers and students, placing great importance on the spirit of mentorship and passing on the torch. We were truly honored to have our distinguished alumnus, Mr. Wong Kwong Yiu, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Wheelock Properties Limited, return to his alma mater on November 3rd for a highly inspiring sharing session, spending a fulfilling and memorable time with our staff and students.

During the event, Mr. Wong, in his sincere and approachable role as a "senior fellow schoolmate," candidly shared his rich life experiences and invaluable career wisdom with our students. He encouraged them to face the future proactively, to be courageous in exploring and developing their strengths and interests. Drawing from his personal experience, he emphasized the importance of being proactive, embracing diverse opportunities, and building networks, encapsulated in his advice: "Don't be afraid of 'suffering a loss,' complain less, and try more." Mr. Wong particularly highlighted our school's motto, "Diligence, Frugality, Loyalty, and Integrity," sharing that these four words are not just maxims from his youth but have remained the philosophy he steadfastly adheres to in both life and career, deeply inspiring every student present.

Following the sharing session, Mr. Wong, accompanied by teachers and students, enthusiastically toured several of our advanced campus facilities, including the Biology Room and the Yoga Room. He attentively learned about the school's latest developments and teaching environment, expressing great pleasure at his alma mater's progress.

The conclusion of the event was particularly warm and meaningful. To congratulate Mr. Wong on recently obtaining his Pickleball coach qualification, the Principal, on behalf of the school, presented him with a school team jersey and a pickleball paddle. This gesture symbolized that passing on knowledge involves not only words but also leading by example through action. This valuable exchange not only strengthened the emotional bond between our alumnus and the school but also provided profound encouragement and inspiration for our students, fully embodying our school's educational spirit that integrates tradition with innovation.
