F4 Student Wins Top Honors at Geneva Inventions 2026
We are incredibly proud to announce that our Form 4 student Wu Pei Jun has won the highly prestigious Gold Medal with the Congratulations of the Jury at the 2026 Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions!
Adding to this extraordinary achievement, our student was specifically selected to represent the Hong Kong SAR High School team. This marks the second consecutive year—following our success in 2025—that students from our school have earned the incredible honor of representing Hong Kong on this prominent global stage.
The award-winning project, PestiGuard, is a groundbreaking biosensor system designed to protect public health. It creatively combines a genetically engineered biological circuit, a custom 3D-printed "SmartBox," and an advanced smartphone application called BioAP. By simply taking a photo, everyday consumers can detect harmful pesticide residues in their vegetables. The system relies on an innovative fluorescent mechanism, bridging the critical gap between expensive, complex laboratory testing and accessible, everyday food safety.
This international accolade is a testament to our student's relentless dedication, rigorous scientific research, and passion for STEM. Please join the entire school community in congratulating our brilliant young innovator for making our school, and Hong Kong, incredibly proud!
