Volunteer Service for Elderly Poon Choi Feast

To celebrate the arrival of the Lunar New Year and to show care and concern for others, our school's students joined hands with the Rotary Club of Kai Tak Rotary Club to participate in the “Volunteer Service for the Elderly Poon Choi Feast t” organized by the Rotary Club of Kai Tak on 1 February 2026.

The event provided students with a valuable opportunity to reach out to the community. Through spending time, serving, and conversing with the elderly, they gained a deeper understanding of the spirit of “Respecting the elderly in our own family and extending that respect to others.” (老吾老以及人之老) During the preparation, reception, and gift distribution, students honed their communication and empathy skills. They also enjoyed delightful performances together with the elderly, sharing moments of joy and heartfelt connection in a warm festive atmosphere.

The event was generously sponsored by the Kai Tak Rotary Club. It allowed students not only to learn how to serve the elderly but also to share the festive delicacy of poon choi. The experience proved to be both enriching and heartwarming.
