Visiting 'The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Encountering Mona Lisa — The Renaissance Reborn' Exhibition
On July 2nd, the History and Visual Arts Departments jointly organized a cross-disciplinary cultural exploration activity, leading about 30 students to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum to visit the special exhibition, "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Encountering Mona Lisa — The Renaissance Reborn." This activity aimed to take students out of the classroom to experience the intersection of history and art firsthand through precious exhibits and interactive installations. Students not only delved into the historical background of the Renaissance era behind the famous painting Mona Lisa, but also analyzed master-level creative aesthetics and painting techniques from a visual arts perspective. The participating students were highly engaged, broadening their historical and cultural horizons while enhancing their art appreciation skills, making it a highly rewarding and enriching experience.
