Sailing into the New Academic Year, Growing Together

As the new academic year begins, the campus is vibrant and brimming with youthful energy. Early morning sunlight bathes the pathways, and the joyful sound of reunions breaks the summer quiet as teachers and students return, eager and full of anticipation for a fresh start.

The inauguration ceremony was grandly held in the school hall, bringing together the entire school community in an atmosphere both solemn and warm. The ceremony commenced with the flag-raising ritual, led by the Student Union and teachers, as the whole hall sang the national anthem in unison. The resounding voices echoed through the hall, demonstrating solidarity and pride while ushering in a promising new term.

Principal Wong then delivered an inspiring address, presenting a captivating "First Lesson of the School Year" to all teachers and students. Drawing on the household-name animated series Doraemon and screening selected clips, Principal Wong offered heartfelt encouragement to students across three meaningful dimensions:

First, regarding "Embracing Challenges and Tempering the Mind," Principal Wong highlighted that even the creator of Doraemon faced setbacks on his journey to achieving his dreams. He emphasized that pursuing one's ideals often requires learning to undertake tasks one may not enjoy, building strength through adversity to eventually reach success. Second, on "Honoring Tradition and Daring to Innovate," Principal Wong noted that innovative ideas do not arise out of nowhere; they are built upon the foundation of tradition and the accumulated wisdom of predecessors. He encouraged students to consolidate their knowledge and experience before seeking breakthroughs, enabling them to create works of true value. Finally, concerning "Treating Others with Kindness and Demonstrating Empathy," Principal Wong stressed that the core spirit of the story lies in warm human qualities. Although the main character, Nobita, excels in neither academics nor sports, he is widely beloved for his kind heart and deep empathy—a reminder to students that genuine care for others is an even more precious quality than high achievement.

As the ceremony concluded, Principal Wong offered his final words of encouragement, expressing his hope that all students will approach the new academic year with a resilient mindset, a solid foundation, and noble character to confidently embrace every challenge in the journey ahead.
