“Positive Campus Spirit” – Parent Workshop

Parents play an important role as educational partners in the growth and development of students. We firmly believe that through parent education, schools can build closer communication and collaboration with parents, working hand in hand to nurture students’ holistic development.

To this end, our Parent-Teacher Association invited Ms. Cheung Siu Yung, Founder and Director of the “Smiling Life Classroom,” to host a parent workshop entitled “Positive Campus Spirit.” The workshop covered the following topics:

  1. Winning Your Child’s Heart: Communication and Conflict Resolution

  2. Managing Academic Stress: Practical Strategies for Parents

  3. Mental Health of Schoolchildren: Not One Should Be Left Behind

  4. Positive Language for Building a Positive Family

Through these sessions, parents were able to strengthen positive discipline practices, improve communication with their children, and enhance both their own and their children’s mental well-being. Feedback from parents was highly positive. Many expressed that the interactive activities helped them to step into their children’s shoes, deepening their understanding of their children’s thoughts and feelings. The workshop also provided a valuable platform for parents to share and exchange experiences in parenting, thereby improving parent-child relationships and fostering a positive family culture.
