F4 Other Learning Experiences (OLE) Day: Social Care & Craftsmanship
This OLE Day provided a unique blend of community service and creative exploration through three hands-on workshops:
Soft Meal Workshop (Volunteer Service): Students learned the art of preparing "Soft Meals" for individuals with swallowing difficulties. By reshaping pureed food into its original form, students gained a deeper understanding of the nutritional needs and dignity of the elderly. This experience fostered empathy and highlighted the importance of inclusive care in our community.
Fabric & Leather Crafting: In the creative sessions, students explored traditional weaving and leatherwork. These activities demanded high levels of patience and precision, from understanding textile structures to the meticulous cutting and stitching of leather.
Overall, the day successfully integrated social responsibility with artistic skill, encouraging students to appreciate the value of craftsmanship while developing a more compassionate outlook on society.
